Boredom, An Ordinary Day, Red

Written by Coco Ji

Boredom

When I am bored,

it is always there.

Frames flashing,

pixels bright like the sun.

When I am lonely,

contacts all available.

Click, click, click, messages sent,

friends contacted, old friends,

new friends.

Pixels of emotions flowing.

Battery draining, pixels dimming,

how much longer?

Services closing, percents dropping,

beep,

all is silent,

till tomorrow, I’ll see you again.

An Ordinary Day

When I am bored,

I text my friends,

I look over the harbor and city,

So much depends on how I feel

My heart feels as if its getting beat up,

Sigh, it is lost on the air,

I think to myself, if children live with friendliness, they learn the world is a nice place in which to live,

Then I move on to my next thought.

Red

A red spider weeps through dimming emotions

Red echos stir through its soul

a rose submerged in bandages

String spewing from the pixels

It can’t move on from the red fog
